Trump University, an unaccredited education business that operated from 2005 to 2010, settled three lawsuits, two California class actions and a New York Attorney General enforcement action, for $25 million plus a $1 million New York penalty. Final approval was granted on April 9, 2018 by Judge Gonzalo Curiel after the Ninth Circuit affirmed. Trump settled shortly after winning the 2016 election.
