Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's longtime personal attorney, pleaded guilty on August 21, 2018 in the Southern District of New York to eight counts including campaign finance violations made, in the prosecutors' words, "in coordination with and at the direction of" Trump. Cohen pleaded guilty again on November 29, 2018 to lying to Congress. He was sentenced on December 12, 2018 to three years in federal prison.
